What is Fillam?

Fillam is a mobile app that serves as a social hub for film lovers, allowing them to share reactions, brief reviews, and watchlists with friends.

What makes this different from other movie apps?

We're not trying to be a database of movies. We aim to connect film lovers and provide them with the right tools to express their opinions easily, authentically, and beautifully. No star ratings from strangers, no algorithm guessing what you'll like—just honest takes from people who know your taste.

How do I join Fillam?

Download the app from the App Store, create a profile, follow friends, and you’re rolling credits.

When are you launching on Android?

Soon. By the way, we love Android. We are a small team today. We had to prioritise one platform to launch, so that we can test the experience we built to a reliable degree. Our own networks are split across iOS and Android. So we understand that it does not help to limit to one platform. We intend to be on Android very much. It’s just a matter of time. Please join the beta list so we can notify you when we have an Android version.

How do I post a review?

Search for the film you watched, click the review button, and you're all set. You can select emoji reactions for a quick take and add up to 1000 characters for your detailed thoughts.

Can I change my username later?

Yes, as long as it’s available and follows guidelines.

Why avatars instead of profile pictures?

To take the pressure off. We want the focus to be on your excellent taste and hot takes, not on finding the perfect selfie. Our in-house artists created these avatars so you can express your filmy vibe with zero stress.

Can I change my avatar?

Of course. You can change your avatar at any time from your profile settings. Feel free to switch it up based on your movie mood..

Can I upload my own avatar design?

Currently, all our avatars are from a collection created by our artists. However, we're always exploring new ideas, so please get in touch with us if you have avatar suggestions (or would like to contribute to our avatars).
